I agree with you that we are being overrun with illegal immigrants. I think this is one thing at least that most people now agree on. But this article wasn't about illegal immigrants, that's a whole other issue that I've dealt with elsewhere. It's specifically about Haitians, the majority of which are here on this special protected status, which means they are here legally, whether that is right or wrong, that's a fact.
I don't know what's in the heart of the father and I don't feel I have the right to judge whether or not he is politicizing his child's death. He seemed just as honest as the woman you point out and yes, I saw that video and it is heartbreaking. I made it very clear it's the government that is responsible for this and I defended people in cities like Springfield. They should not have to put up with this.
But there is a reason why these stories are popping up right at election time. Why Haitians, why now? I went into how these stories are created and spread across social media. Because I am a stickler for truth in reporting, I do not appreciate being manipulated with false stories. Yes, they know that people will respond emotionally and that's why the stories are put out there. The danger is that we move further and further from even caring if something is true or not. If we start believing stories because they agree with our point of view, then we are lost, and we will become truly MAD as I point out. People are missing the larger issue of how we are being put in this cycle of hate through what we share and what is then fed back to us.

I should add, as I have said many times, I am not a religious person, I have concluded in my own life that I am a follower of Jesus. I agree with you about the extremism and its propagation. On the other hand the Haitian issue is part and parcel of a larger, legitimate crisis of illegal immigration in the USA and elsewhere. And people are upset, legitimately, and the government is causing the problem while it pretends to solve the problem and downplay the problem. This is such a difficult complex subject with no easy answers. Most people care about their fellow man as an individual; not so much as a large mass, especially if they are different. This instinctual response is not exclusive to white people, and it's certainly not novel. It's human nature for people to resent invaders, regardless of race or cultural differences.
Most people should know by now that governments generally do not care about their citizens, not even a little. They do care about agendas, however. More often than not those agendas revolve around money and power. The US and European governments have been promoting legal and illegal immigration for years, and it certainly wasn't for humanitarian reasons. They needed to increase their labor force. It's easier to promote immigration than to examine failed policies. And when things get really wonky, there's always a war to distract from those other disastrous attempts to micromanage humanity.
The bottom line is we as citizens need to figure out the source of the problem. In my opinion it's those psychopaths that think they have the right to be in charge. Most people DO want to just live a peaceful life, but the busybodies continually interfere. And that's been true since the beginning of time. It's past time for change, but I sadly, don't see that happening.

I stated that the Haitian who hit the school bus was driving without a US license. The point Aiden's father was making, that he didn't want his son being used for political purposes, is valid, after all, who could tell a father otherwise? The other point he is making is that, at least from his perspective, it didn't matter who hit his son, such tragedies happen every day and it could as easily have been a white person or a drunk person or a kid who stole his parent's car, or whomever, we never know. I agree with you that we are being overrun with illegal immigrants. I think this is one thing at least that most people now agree on. But this article wasn't about illegal immigrants, that's a whole other issue that I've dealt with elsewhere. It's specifically about Haitians, the majority of which are here on this special protected status, which means they are here legally, whether that is right or wrong, that's a fact.
I don't know what's in the heart of the father and I don't feel I have the right to judge whether or not he is politicizing his child's death. He seemed just as honest as the woman you point out and yes, I saw that video and it is heartbreaking. I made it very clear it's the government that is responsible for this and I defended people in cities like Springfield. They should not have to put up with this.
But there is a reason why these stories are popping up right at election time. Why Haitians, why now? I went into how these stories are created and spread across social media. I agree with you about the extremism and its propagation. On the other hand the Haitian issue is part and parcel of a larger, legitimate crisis of illegal immigration in the USA and elsewhere. And people are upset, legitimately, and the government is causing the problem while it pretends to solve the problem and downplay the problem. It’s well documented that the entire chain of illegal immigration into the United Stares is coordinated and funded in great part by the U.S. government. The activity is mostly carried out by richly compensated NGOs, but the Secy. Of HHS, Mayorkas, is very hands on with all of this, including controlling the border patrol and its enforcement activities or lack thereof.
The point being that what started out as a joke or a troll post or somebody complaining about a particular image snowballed because people already have this issue of violent immigrants on their mind and that is not because it’s exaggerated. It’s because it’s reality. I’m also pretty sure that there is a grain of truth here based on other things I’ve read. So I’m not saying it’s a good thing, but it’s because of a series of government sponsored crises that you are seeing this. The government are the extremists. They created this crisis. This is another reason we have to be very careful about who has power, because it has all kinds of second and third order effects.
The algorithms push certain stories. I really hope people begin to understand this. They are fed back to us and in a continuous loop that is detrimental to our mental health. This is such a difficult complex subject with no easy answers. Most people care about their fellow man as an individual; not so much as a large mass, especially if they are different. This instinctual response is not exclusive to white people, and it's certainly not novel. It's human nature for people to resent invaders, regardless of race or cultural differences.
Most people should know by now that governments generally do not care about their citizens, not even a little. They do care about agendas, however. More often than not those agendas revolve around money and power. The US and European governments have been promoting legal and illegal immigration for years, and it certainly wasn't for humanitarian reasons. They needed to increase their labor force. It's easier to promote immigration than to examine failed policies. And when things get really wonky, there's always a war to distract from those other disastrous attempts to micromanage humanity.
The bottom line is we as citizens need to figure out the source of the problem. In my opinion it's those psychopaths that think they have the right to be in charge. Most people DO want to just live a peaceful life, but the busybodies continually interfere. And that's been true since the beginning of time. It's past time for change, but I sadly, don't see that happening.

It's interesting that I clearly put the blame on the government, do not support illegal immigration at all, say the policy of protected status for these Haitians does no good for Haiti or the people in cities like Springfield, yet somehow, people have taken away from my essay that I support illegal immigration. I think the thing is that we all know how illegal immigrants are bring pushed in here. Back in the day you had to have a sponsor and work set up to get here and yes those people were vilified. Its sad but this immigrants are cheating the system most of us agreed to abide by. You know legal stuff. But I guess since they are bring allowed in that maybe now its legal.
BTW the guy that hit the school bus was driving without a US license. Yes he was charged SBD found guilty and sentenced. Sad for him too cause it wasn't intentional I bet.
This essay isn't about illegal immigration which is a whole other issue and obviously wrong and completely out of control thanks to the Biden administration. This is specifically about Haitians most of whom are here legally, which is also a problem. I clearly point out how the "temporary protected status" does no good for Haiti and no good for Springfield and other such cities and towns. My concern is more about the how we are purposely being divided amongst ourselves and nobody cares anymore if the information they receive is true or not as long as it supports their point of view. Both sides are using this tactic, and news has been reduced to memes and hashtags and sensationalized videos, and we no longer know if they are real or if they have been created by AI. This is a dangerous road, and it will not lead to anywhere good for us as a nation nor for us spiritually and morally as individuals. I am just trying to warn people about this danger.
I stated that the Haitian who hit the school bus was driving without a US license. The point Aiden's father was making, that he didn't want his son being used for political purposes, is valid, after all, who could tell a father otherwise? The other point he is making is that, at least from his perspective, it didn't matter who hit his son, such tragedies happen every day and it could as easily have been a white person or a drunk person or a kid who stole his parent's car, or whomever, we never know. For this father, he chooses not to hate all Haitians because of the crime of one, and that can only be admirable. And yes, what you say is so true, that it is all sad, it is more than sad.
The image of a "melting pot" is based on limited and distorted information, and is antithetical to what is written on the Statue of Liberty. The Irish and Chinese were brought in when labor was needed to build a railroad. (Our own population had been decimated by a civil war.). Yet, persecuted Jews were turned away on more than one occasion. Immigration has been manipulated by the government to establish agendas, none of which were for the good of American citizens. Propaganda is such a useful tool of government, especially effective for a brainwashed citizenry.

Actually 'fore "covidcon" one'a my youngest girl's closest pals--still a pal of hers tho now totally woke!--was a Hatian American (fully Haitian but the fam came ta the US in the early 1970s)--an' I used ta consider her Ma a dear pal of mine too 'til she cancelled me!--See she wuz all "for" the jabs an' became a contact tracer an' I had warned folks (in our homeschoolin' community) the jabs were harmful an' ta CONSIDER doin' research an' I warned her that there was no reason to contract trace folks an' separate famblies for this "covid thang"...So my scenty-mints just broke our longtime friendship -- her cherce not mine (along with a few other things like my rejection of CRT as refused ta consider myself an "oppressor"). TRUTH is there are MANY American Haitians that are smart, all for education, lovely folk--many happen ta be Catholic fwiw. There are also those, many longtime Americans, who practice Santeria (soitenly known in NYC) an' who regularly DO sacrifice animals--not sure 'bout what they eat or don't. So I hate ta say this but there IS truth to the "concept" that it's possible... given Saneria an' also voodoo (which I know not much of but it's also a thing in NYC among certain communities... jus' sayin').
So if our corrupt gubbamint brings these folks here--but doesn't (at least yet) give 'em their credit cards so they can BUY food--what in heck DO they DO? We should also be accurate about what is going on.
