Yes she's spot on.

But, the reason American women are supporting terrorism has more to do with causing chaos than what they scream is a terrorist country's "civil rights and autonomy"

What I absolutely hate about these Leftoid fascists is their inability to think beyond what their teacher tells them or tik tok and other social media .

And they don't need evidence to defend against "civil rights violations" or what people with common sense know -- that they're not about civil rights or compassion, empathy, peace and love. They're about violence and hatred and chaos without any fear of consequences or accountability.

Their "protests" are like watching spoiled toddlers in grown up bodies.

Dangerous combination, that.

Sorry I went off. I guess I, too, feel betrayed by my country (FISA was the straw), which for the moment, is not totally like Iran -- but give us time, the US is still descending and regressing into the pit.

A few years I saw a short video of Iranian women marching in protest it brought tears to my eyes, now THAT is stunning and brave. Because I know some of those women ended being beaten and/or disappeared and the women knew they would pay that price. But my "woke, believe all women" government turned a blind eye. So did the woke UN.

Still, I pray for all the oppressed women and men too. Including American women, having even our gender taken over by men.

You are right, and this support of ridiculous causes on the left seems to hinge on a "group mentality," and is not based in logic, whatsoever.

I still remember when their grandmothers and grandfathers, as young university students, yearned for Ayatollah Khomeini and Islamic law – under the Shah! They scared their culture, their faith, etc... Then, just as they got the Shah from the USA, they got Kohmeini too! I saw that their joy lasted for a few days...!

I wrote about this in The Reluctant Revolutionary. AN IRANIAN STUDENT'S HARROWING ADVENTURES IN MIDDLE AMERICA DURING THE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION AND WHAT IT MEANS TODAY https://open.substack.com/pub/khmezek/p/the-reluctant-revolutionary-972.

It's a cautionary tale about youth being fooled into supporting the latest revolution that not enough people have read 😂

Unfortunately, even old people are being tricked!

Oh brava! Right on point 😁✊️

I really thoroughly enjoyed the reluctant revolutionary.

You know, I never thought my country would become like Iran. It breaks my heart and it blows my mind. We have to be the resisters and stand up for the Constitution. Things could get pretty harried. God help us ✝️🙏

She has a point, probably she would be supporting the Sha Reza Palevi and I am not an expert in Iranian affairs or what they do or not, I know Iran is a theocracy and that's all, but my question is why Israel attacked the Iranian Embassy in Damask? I, as a Christian, cannot take sides, we are above those religious conflicts and regional hates, we pray for them to convert to our Lord Jesus Christ and all wars will be over when that happens because God is a God of love, but meanwhile there is more than meets the eye, caution must prevail.

I understand as a Christian. However, if your neighborhood, family, country was attacked, you might want to defend it and actually fight against the enemy. Israel has been targeting the top brass responsible for funding Hamas etc, which is why they targeted, not the embassy but:

On 1 April 2024, an Israeli airstrike destroyed the Iranian consulate annex building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 people, including a senior Quds Force commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and seven other IRGC officers.

Also, I should add I doubt she would support Palevi. She is young and has no connection to that regime. Older Persians would do that.

The problem is that the real enemy of every people is their "own" government! Every leader is betting that the people will stand by their side when their country is attacked and forget all their sins... And that's usually the case... Let's not forget that a nation is over when it cannot defend itself against its internal enemies. And if it is already in power, then it is a nation in name only...

If you are calling out Iran, you also need to call out Israel.

You will have to say that to the young Iranian woman who I quote here, not me. She supports Israel for all the reasons she talks about, as many Iranians do.

Expand full comment

Why does she need to call out Israel just because people in Iran are saying they support Israel and not the Palestinians? That is a ridiculous statement. She has taken a position on the subject and is sharing corroborating evidence to substantiate her view. She is not required to "call out" anyone.

Perhaps what Allan is saying is that they are all murderous. All of them are wrong, in that way. Israel, Iran, Palestine have no regard for the humanity of “their enemy”. “Those that live by the sword, shall die by the sword.” They are reaping what they’ve sown, in many ways. Thousands of years of history.

Consider what CS Lewis said in his essay “On Living in an Atomic Age” 1948:

“Nothing is more likely to destroy a species or a nation than a determination to survive at all costs. Those who care for something else more than civilization are the only people by whom civilization is at all likely to be preserved. Those who want Heaven must have served Earth best. Those who love Man less than God do most for Man.”

Above all, we are in a spiritual war, and the Lord calls on us to rely on Him for our survival. Kill the invader/attacker? Perhaps. But perhaps something else.

I have eternal life, so what should I fear? My “enemy” may be headed for hell, and his death will forfeit his opportunity to chose Christ.

Jesus says these words to those of the new covenant, in Matt 5:43-45

You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

This is a spiritual issue.

I agree with you that it's a spiritual issue. I do NOT lump Israel in with the the governments of Iran and Palestine (although there are some definite negative things in that gov't as well). And yes, God says to love others as we love ourselves. And it's fine to pray for your enemies but that doesn't mean they should be allowed to get away with cold-blooded murder (which is different than warfare, although the results are often the same, and brutalities occur during wars, as well).
