The entire McDonald's theme was a way of trolling the Dems.

My take on McDonald's is that people are free to choose what they want to eat, HOWEVER, there is a lot that can be done to improve the ingredients of McDonald's, as well as the methods of farming to produce the food that ends up on their menus, i.e. the oils, the meat and the veg. Personally, I never eat McDonald's because I like to make my own food at home.

McDonald's has also allowed a lot of small business people to buy a franchise and make their living. Let's push hard on the men in the photo to follow through on the reformation of our farming methods for not just McDonald's, but school lunches, veterans hospitals' food, food for our military, etc. After all, it is our duty to hold our gov't to the fire. We have really dropped the ball on that.

You're right. People are free to make their own choices. Companies also are free to make choices and marketing companies the same. Purposely addicting children to toxic food is not a good choice. Our entire society is built on addiction.

Let's keep the pressure on and hope, as you say, that the men in the photo follow through.

Was that also true years ago when Trump served McDonalds at White House dinners? Come on. If we were what we ate the guy would BE a Big Mac.

And actually, it kinda seems like the one being trolled is RFK. Not only is he being served fast food right after being nominated to MAHA, but he's being forced to take a photo with a big tray of processed fat and carbs in front of him. And his face says it all.

Personal choice is certainly valid. The irony, though, is that RFK claims to want to make the food supply less processed-removing the choice for companies and citizens. I personally think that's probably a good move, depending on how it's done (though I'm skeptical it will happen, especially since the rest of the administration is likely to be pro-business and very anti-regulation) but do think the photo is ironic in that it's clear that that won't happen under Trump for the simple reason that the man lives on processed crap. At most, the price will increase and it will be reserved for the government and AF1.

We have no way to know whether or not changes will take place, because none of us has a crystal ball. Cynicism is part of our reality, and I understand the stance of doubt; it helps to soothe the potential hurting. The fact is that we don't know if RFK Jr. actually ate the meal; it was a fun pose, right? The ugly business model of addiction to keep the income rolling is NOT free-market enterprise, but full-on captured gov't with corporatism. No one is forced to eat MickeyD's, but school lunches, hospitals, and other institutional food MUST be changed. That's a good start.

Not that I would eat McDonald's (it's been about 45+ years), but the Big Mac that President Trump, Elon, Don Jr., and Kennedy are eating differs from the slop they feed the public. I'm sure it is a grass-fed, organic Kobe beef burger placed in a McDonald's container/wrapper, and the same goes for the fries. It's called product placement. I'm sure they bought shares of McDonald's before President Trump's pre-election visit to McDonald's and then shorted the stock when the E. coli outbreak was announced two days later!

I'm not sure if they are deliberately advertising McDonald's food here, or whether they are trying to show that even they don't always have five-course fancy dinners, but just takeaways that the ordinary people also eat sometimes.

As regards the healthiness of McDonald's food, I would suggest that "sometimes" is the key factor to whether it is going to lead to obesity or not. There are McDonald's restaurants all over Europe and people in Europe are not becoming obese from this fact.

The question is how much and how often are people getting their food from McDonald's or other fast food providers. Is it their only source of nutrition, or is it an occasional meal on the run?

Thanks to soda and fast food obesity is a bigger problem in other countries. Trust me, they will catch up. I have strong feelings about this. It's unfortunate that American companies didn't choose health over profit when they created these food chains. It's the same with cigarettes and the same now with Marijuana. The additives are so dangerous.

We live in a society that expects immediate gratification and fast food is a part of that. I don't accept that poor people are only given the option of unhealthy food. There was a time when the world did just fine without fast food. It isn't necessary for survival.

Karen, you are smart and you are almost there. The poisioning of the world's food wasn't an accident. if you ever gardened you will know, a plant is influenced greatly by its environment, the light it receives, the nutrients, the pests that prey upon it.

So, too with people. Our food has been deliberately destroyed to destroy the people. Too fat to fight back is a fact. Too stupid to understand is part of the plan. Mal-nutrion doesn't always look like starvation. It can be people so fat they wear bedsheets playing video games all day.

RFK understands this. I understand this. and I think at some level you do as well, though you may not have made all the connections yet. Fast Food can be healthier, but it also should be self limited by the consumers of fast food. Basic cooking needs to be taught in schools. Once kids taste the delicious things they can make themselves it will help untie them from the food machine and the fast food industry.

Our education system is sorely lacking in basic skills like, understanding how to make a budget, how to calculate expenses, how to live on what you earn, how to read and write and understand what you read, how to dissect what you read for facts and baloney. How to sew, how to cook, how to create beauty in your world with simple things like creating your own music, art, gardening, crafts, etc.

our schools are factories for failure, our food is poision lacking nutrional value, our children are plants withering in the drought of common sense, our leaders are fools burning the fields and turning them fallow for a mansion in hell.

We have been given a path out of this mad world and a man who is building an exit for us. It is only a week since the world changed, it took since world war II to create this hell we share, it will take more than 4 years to revert to the independent nation we once were.

But it is a start, and that better than the punch in the face we've been receiving daily from our media, our leaders, our betters. The march is long and often up hill, yet we will only arrive at our destination if we help each other and continue our journey to a better world, for if we remain as we our we will surely perish in this insanity of division, this swamp of madness. This manufactured reality.

I thank you for giving us a place to discuss our world with each other, and hopefully to learn more and to understand each other better.

Ah, no American company, who has a board and/or investors, is going to voluntarily choose to do something that costs more. Unless there is a market for it to be expensive. IMHO, organic food is not expensive, it's the true cost of food without subsidies and before "organic" became adulterated.

And "poor people" have the option of healthy food and refuse it. Ask anyone who's worked at a food bank. Joel Salatin stated this past week, that his farm had been gifted a truckload of organic sweet potatoes from a food bank because no one wanted to cook. Or couldn't. (Majority of food bank users are not homeless).

No one actually cooks anymore.

And if it was important to folks they would make different choices about food. People prioritize what is important to them.

And, Americans are far less discerning than they used to be. It's astonishing.

Just my humble opine.

the power of the media should not be understimated. Constant fast food commercials, packaged food is full of fat, sugar and salt, all things the body needs and craves.

Now it is available in excess, a physiology that was tuned to survive famine, has been drowned in a flood of excess calories. Evolution is long and slow, and fast food tsunami is fast and overwhelming, only our intellect can overcome our desires, but most intellects have been stunted by a lack of developement, education, and understanding. They are all children in a candy store, dying by sugar suicide.

Schools must teach, and children must be cared for in a way that the can be taught. Autism is a product of our current food and medicine fake reality, autism prevents or impedes education. The desire of the oligarch, the deep state is to have the average citizen stupid, helpless and unable to fight back or impede their programs. Food has become a weapon as has medicine, a weapon to destroy all that might stand against them.

They know we are prisoners of our desires and are happy to provide a velvet prison in which we may hang ourselves after endless distraction via TV, Internet Porn, etc.

Are you sufficiently amused yet?

Too many vaccines, absolutely a bad thing. I've written a lot about that.

However, it's a disservice to everyone to say that eating unhealthy junk food does not adversely affect one's health. I talk a lot about common sense and anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that they need to eat healthy in order to be healthy. At my age it becomes more and more apparent, and I am thankful my parents taught me healthy habits and that I maintained them, and I taught them to my children and my daughter teaches it to her kids. I saw the results when I was a child. My friends ate the twinkies and the sodas and their parents ate bad food, and a lot were alcoholics and over time, it does very bad things to a person's physical and mental health, not to mention spiritually. My siblings and I were rarely sick. My parents didn't believe in taking us to the doctor. My best friend was always sick and on antibiotics. Very bad.

I've noticed that a lot of people argue back, like it's really not that bad and it turns out they do this because they absolutely have to have that diet Coke every morning and whatever else is their habit. They don't want to give it up and so they justify it. It's becoming harder and harder for people to be healthy, just as it's harder and harder to stay off the technology that is pushed at us 24/7. We do not even recognize how indoctrinated we are. It takes a very strong mentality to resist that indoctrination.

MAHA well the McDonald’s skit was actually hilarious. When my kids were young, I was working with 4-5 young woman none yet had kids. They told me “ we will never take our kids to fast food places, and have them play video games”.

Having kids you learn the marketing and the world influence kids. As Oscar Wilde said, “ all things in moderation, including moderation.”

At least we are now having conversations regarding

Food, fluoride, vaccines which is healthy.

“ it’s not what you put in your mouth which defiles you, but what comes out of your mouth. American health is initially attacked by vaccines, 70 shots or more is obscene. Fast food, junk food, soda, candy

One only needs stroll through a crowd to see people have little discipline on their eating habits.

RFK brings needed conversations to the table.

Gluttony is prevalent. Fast food junk food taste really good and it’s very tempting to chase empty calories and never be satiated.

Consider how much soda is consumed in this country.

As far as I know our medical community spends very little time studying nutrition. We really need to step up our game.

First some McDonald’s fast food, Taco Bell for snacks, Burger King for dinner, …

Exercise needs to be encouraged.

Anyone ever remember the Presidents physical fitness in Grade School?

I would encourage RFK to reintroduce programs that set up positive school programs, along with nutritional classes starting 1st grade up to 8th grade. Establish early habits.

If 7/10 boys girls can’t pass the military physical test, is a sign we need to change our current path.

Health ought to job #1.

For every handicapped person someone is required

For care duty. Live long enough see sick, injured, jabbed, wheel chairs, walkers, people going to their doctors spinning through a medical quagmire of a failed healthy true Healing.

1st radically reduce vaxxines

2 mommas teach em nutrition

3. Medical community teach more nutrition

4. Get these lil kids outside playing

The body is meant to be worked, we have grown

Fat lazy and big pharma don’t help.

Magic pill is movement exercise.

I don’t usually eat fast foods, but when I do

I prefer to realize all things in moderation.

Pass those French fries.

I too said ohhh when I have kids I’ll never do that

Wrong dad kids media is strong.

Each choice is weighed and measure.

I had a patient years ago, who once or twice a week her blood sugar (bs) would spike to over 440mg/dl. Avg would run in the 170'smg/dl. So we had her keep a food diary. It took two weeks to confirm. She could eat pasta, no change in bs. She could eat cheese, same result. But have from-scratch mac-n-cheese and boom huge spike. Never had another patient have the same results. Everybody's different.

It's all about the money and the elimination of the "useless eaters". Originally, the Founders intended that the government to be a Constitutional republic, of the people, by the people, for the people. Instead we have allowed the country to devolve into fascism, according to Mussolini rule by the combination of government and corporate business. Making America healthy again will be no small feat. The Deep State and corporate business run (rule) the country. The government agencies and Congress are captured by Big Business. RFK, Jr. had better beef up his security. He has a target lasered on his back. He could become the third Kennedy assassination. Good luck, Bobby, you need it. We can only resist. Refuse to eat the junk food. Refuse to take or be injected with the poisons falsely labeled as medicine. It won't be easy to wake up the masses brainwashed with the food pyramid. Restore the Republic, restore our health.

Agreed. Profit, sadly, is the motivation for most people... and to some degree we need profit for survival +some more. There are still those of us want to be independent-enough not to ever have to ask or owe but who still value relationships above all-else. I miss a lot of people, but they are those who value things above people and who decide voting is based upon whether or not you are worthy of their company, a lot of things are the things that relatives stare at, hoping that those things will some day be theirs. By the time these people figure it out, they will realize that they messed-up terribly.
