Interesting how state and governmental (just like the mail service) is all about diversity, Private companies will not do this stuff. Just clean yourself up, and be 100% physically and intellectually and mentally prepared for a position you are rightfully paid to do.
DEI is kind of insulting all around. I am sure wealthy people do not choose their employees or services on diversity. They expect excellent attention and service.
We lowly, tax paying citizens have to be "fair" and accommodate for the lesser qualified people so they feel accepted. no thanks
I don't care if someone is straight or gay, or anything, I don't want to know their personal life, I'm not interested. It is just weird, creepy and ridiculous that such things should be part of the conversation at all. All I want is for them to be qualified to do their job. I would be fine with someone covered in tattoos head to toe if they rescued me, my child, my dog, from burning in a fire, and I would hug them and thank them forever. It's just when DEI becomes an obsession, we are way off course.
Just commeting on the quote in bold. How odd, I was brought up that expecting someone serving you to be like you is racist and a non racist who looked like you should probably refuse service if the person who you are refusing to receive service from is perfectly capable of doing the job!
