Isn't Secret Service protection reserved for official candidates? If Trump wasn't a former President, I don't believe he would have it either until after the convention. Hilary and Biden also had it initially due to being former First Lady and VP as opposed to being candidates. Please correct me if I'm wrong here but that is my impression. It's questionable whether RFKJ will even be able to get on the ballot in enough states to possibly win the election. And if we were to give protection to him, it would also have been due for every candidate in both primaries-all 20 of them the last 2 elections-as well as every independent candidate. I'm sure there have been other such abuses of the unlimited budget for protection. We need more oversight there, not less.
