Elon is starting to creep me out. His big production yesterday to introduce the Cybercab and the 20 seat self driving van left me cold. There is no way I would get in either of them. No one seems to ask “how do you get out if the software fails”. You would be a complete fool to take up any of this intrusive stuff that he and Zuckerberg are pushing. I am spending much less time online and I have a stack of real books waiting to be read. I spend time tending my garden daily and I have begun volunteering to prepare meals for the hungry in my town thru a ministry of my church. We must deliberately push back. I fear for my grandchildren and what the future holds for them. I agree that we need to be wary and also that we must look to God to guide us through these crazy times. Time spent in prayer is never wasted and no devices are needed. Just ugh! Why can’t humans just be happy being human and trying to live the life that God gave them. To be alive is a gift. Time to read my new book! Blessings to you Karen.

Yes, yes! I'm about to go outside now!

Elon is a satanist. There, I said it. His mother is awitch (or some other nefarious high ranking wicked thing). His personal life is rife with wickedness. "Dark MAGA"? MAGA in Hebrew means "contact" or "touch". So, "Dark Contact/Touch"... sounds holy, good, respectful, gracious, merciful right? No way! There are NO coincidences. How do we vote our way out of this when BOTH SIDES are evil? We don't.

The only reason I do not despair is because of JESUS CHRIST. He gives me enough reason to stay outside the "norm", far on the fringes.

Exactly. It should be no surprise that the world is like this. I am not on the side of any man or woman or AI, for that matter. I look to Jesus.

This is the absolute end-all, be-all, Karen. It's the very best that we can do. I have to admit that fighting fear and worry is a daily battle, not just for myself, but for my 3 young adult children. It's huge, but there is no answer other than faith and trust in God and in his son Jesus. Interestingly for me, I've only come to understand in recent years that having faith in God is not the same as having trust in God (I'm slow, I know!). I'm working daily on the trust part . . . praying like never before. May God Bless You.

Well said and remember he made a lovely entrance at Heidi Klum's Halloween party as...Satan's champion. He's a sick weirdo, with a long family history of eugenics and witchcraft. It's truly amazing to me that people are flipped by him. Jesus is the ONLY WAY and repentance is the word of the day...every day.

The lesson is always the same, not to put our trust in princes. From a British perspective, the least bad option is much better than the party in charge.

This is the unfortunate truth. However, in the long run it really doesn't matter. It's all going in the same direction.

Thank you. I think the lesser of two evils (in the UK, but this applies elsewhere) allows me some more freedom to go about my normal life, without hating me, and allows me to argue my case in an open market of ideas. It may be better too at allowing businesses to prosper therefore raising money to pay for the social welfare we all want. That’s not much to ask for. Technology and human weakness (moral and intellectual) will do what damage it can, but we will have a bit more time to prepare for it!

I'm sure they have. That's what's so crazy.

It's all so damn crazy. I keep wondering why it feels so unstoppable, is it because the masses actually want this future, or think they do? Is everyone just so blinded and dumbed down by lives of business and extreme convenience that that can't be bothered to care? Is extreme apathy to be the end of the freedom for humanity? Does seem likely.

I think the separation, intentional or otherwise, of the majority of humans from the natural world is the root of it all, go for a walk in a natural, and I mean natural, not groomed and "cared for", and all the world's bullshit dissappears. Stand on a high mountain pass, face to wind as a wicked storm rolls in, and actually feel the thrill of being alive. Sadly, so few do such anymore.

We humans need regular experiences where we encounter, and are able to overcome or survive, that which is larger than ourselves. Without those humbling experiences we fall into weird thought patterns and start thinking we're somehow more in charge of the world than we are or were ever meant to be.

100%. This is what I remind people of, over and over. Get outside, in nature. Push yourself, get uncomfortable, exercise, get oxygen flowing to your brain. Give yourself goals in the real world. It's vital. And if you have kids, it's especially vital. Set that example. Get rid of the Xanax!!!

I don't think we can know what the masses want or think, given that all the surveys, polls and statistics are at best doctored and worst completely fabricated.

The masses I have attempted to talk to have no interest in anything outside their own microcosm. They are not interested in anything that does not serve their immediate interests or needs. The ones I speak to have virtually no interest in politics or in talking about what's happening in the community/ world and have no idea of what is happening.

Every negative thing that effects their children, finances or health is explained by watching 15 minutes of news propaganda.

I am not looking forward to my family and friends ( who haven't spoken to me for 2 years) turning up at my self sufficient farm expecting to be saved.

Confirmation bias is to blame I think. We all love to listen to a person's words but ignore their actions, or vice versa. It is the former, in the case of Elon. I like a lot of what he says, but his actions are eerily out of parity with his words. Would be great if in public discourse at large, we could take into account both words and actions, and go from there. Shit, I think my Dark Optimus heard me writing this, gotta g...

100%.

I know people who have worked for Elon Musk and it was a terrible experience. I guess we aren't supposed to criticize him because of Aspergers. He certainly knows how to communicate to the entire world through marketing, through X. He is marketing his public image very well. For someone like this to have ultimate power over what other people think, or feel, products they should buy, is terrifying. To think that someone who cannot communicate empathetically with others has the most powerful communication network, Starlink, yes, it's terrifying. He's done such a good job at communicating that people ADORE him, almost God-like adoration. So that's weird for someone with such communication challenges, isn't it.

Great stack. Musk on one side and Soros on the other. All of the things that lead to the apocalyptic end of civilization in virtually every good sci-fi novel or movie are literally being rolled out in mainstream society right now. Where do we end up? Terminator? Matrix? Mad Max perhaps, or my personal favorite Jurassic Park...

I still vividly remember the impression left on me when I watched The Stepford Wives in 1975 as a teenager. I was deeply disturbed, just as I was years later watching a Star Trek episode about The Borg. I've never forgotten either, and at the time of watching, the depth of my disturbance was surprising. Now I know why. If I had known then what I know now I'm afraid it would've derailed my joy and optimism. Or maybe it would've prepared me better for what was coming. I don't know, but life truly is strange. I so want to get back to the place of mostly feeling that life is amazing. In spite of all of this, it IS amazing that any of us are here.

Thank you for putting this out. I do admire Musk for his free speech views. I thought he was against AI until the Neurolink.. It is a wonderful marvel for good but it also seems anithuman.

Expand full comment

It's hard for people to grasp that he is not for free speech. He is for verifying those who are human (not bots) so they can feed his AI. As I've written about, in order to learn, AI needs real humans, not bots, to feed off of. AI is literally feeding off humans to become more like us as we lose our humanity.

It also seems free because we have all been relegated to echo chambers where the same info is fed back to us over and over. It's not free, it's a form of indoctrination and control.

I am more censored on Musk's X than I was on Twitter. As long as you say what he likes, you are given "free" speech. I don't say what he likes. At least on Twitter I knew certain words to avoid saying so I wasn't banned (although I was banned eventually). One doesn't get banned on X. One is just relegated to a place where no one sees your content. Increasingly on X it is only huge accounts that are heard

Please read this to understand it better. If AI Is Slowly Killing Itself, So Are We
