In the past 5 years, I have done so much reading and research. It has been an awakening. You are one of my favorite authors/writers. I miss my Mother, she just passed in May at 91. We talked and I read to her, and she kept up on everything. She said she was glad she was so old and lived when she did.

I don't understand. People are funny. I find you are sharing that you are grateful for your followers and readers. I don't find that narcissistic or negative. I was always grateful for my job and thankful it gave me the ability to take care of myself.
It is like I told my sister in a message about our Mom. Below was in response to my sister saying she thought Mom wasn't too fond of someone that had asked her would they still be friends if her husband was elected Sheriff and not my Brother who was running for Sheriff (as a write-in). I was telling my sister about visiting older neighbors, and they told me about it because they were with her when it occurred. He laughed and said My Mom said something about we were friends before. He got a kick out of Mom, because she didn't say anything about anyone. He wasn't sure what she meant. He remembered that after all those years. My brother was Sheriff years ago, he retired before me, so it was at least 25 years ago.
"Mom was tolerant of people she disagreed with. She did not spread malice about anyone. She was not envious; she admired people for their success. She was generous and not selfish. She was not spiteful or vindictive. She was a Christian woman who believed and followed the Bible. She told me things people said or did, but it went no further than between us. She didn't make judgements on things I told her. Fortunately, we shared a lot of similar views; politics, and such. I miss having her to talk too. I thought the other day, I should ask Mom, she will know. It was a family thing, I can't remember now."

Sounds like your mom and my mom were of the same mold. I miss my parents. I know they would be right here with me, fighting by my side. I'm just thankful I have a place where I can write and speak freely because that was denied to me for so long. I was really affected by Sinead O'Connor's death, and I should probably write about that. She was so courageous. And with women like that, they have to make them seem crazy. A long history of locking defiant women away in insane asylums, telling them they are too emotional and not reasonable. Sinead was a very intelligent woman. Very sad that they got to her in the end and broke her spirit. Besides the tragedy of her son's death and so much more. Her stance on Covid showed how far she had been led away from her true self. Anyway, went off on a tangent, but those have been the thoughts in my head, especially after someone like Andrew Tate gets praised so highly.
