My father was a contemporary of Jackson Pollock. My dad was part of the Cedar St., Tavern crowd. I grew up listening to stories of Jackson Pollock beating up the cigarette machine in the Cedar St., Tavern. My dad shared studio space with de Kooning. He was an amazing artist, but refused to sell his work. My mom funded a painting trip for my father in the 1950’s. He went across Canada into Mexico. He came back with 20 paintings. My mom sold 4 of them and almost destroyed their marriage. My dad refused to sell any of his paintings after that. As a child, my mother, threatened to chop off my thumbs if I ever became an artist. She hated Pollock as he had killed a friends dog because he forgot all about taking care of it while his friend was on vacation. 
I spent 15 years doing very high detailed pet portraits and hating every minute of it because, “art was useless if you couldn’t make money at it”, according to my mother. I spent over 20 year BLOCKED from the creative process because the Spector of my mother leaned over my shoulder.
In the winter of 2001 I had an Epiphany and refused to Art for money ever again. the flood gates opened!

Damn you write like you draw with meticulous strokes. This article was captivating but eerie. AI art may look original, but because it is a program an exact replica could (would) be generated by the computer with the same inputs. Real human art comes from the soul not from the digits that run through an engineered machine.
Just wanted to mention about your obsession with perfect eyes. I believe when you look directly into someone’s eyes you can see into their heart. My father taught me that when you shake a man’s hand always look them directly in the eyes.
I may not be an artist in the sense of painting or poems but I can see and feel what an artist creates. Your writing was art.

Transcription is something AI can do also, but then what's missing, which I will grant, very few people notice, is the change in consciousness that comes from the sustained application of human attention (that is to say, of the transcriber attending to the spoken words of another human). This change in consciousness is mainly that of the human transcriber, but it is also something infinitely broader, albeit very subtle. Materialists scoff, as they always have. But humans have always intuited this, at some level. (Case in point: the original van Gogh is worth so much more than the reproduction.)
