Despite the drugs in her system (shouldn’t she be disqualified for that reason alone?), the plastic surgery and the effort it took to grow those muscles and that beard:

Yet, in a way, you'd think the trans advocates would want to publicize her presence in sports if not this specific fight, seeing as there are frequent statements by groups opposing self-ID for sports saying that the only trans people who want to complete in their chosen gender as opposed to their biological sex are trans women, because they have a physical advantage. I've seen innumerable assertions that "you never see the trans men trying to do this," " they're only doing this to cheat and get an advantage" and I'd think this would be a perfect counter. I guess there really is a sensitivity to the idea that trans men are likely to not be as strong as men, because then the obvious assumption would be that trans women are in fact at a natural advantage over women.
As far as the drugs in her system, it's legal because she is (presumably) within, if not still below, the normal range of testosterone for men, thus the testosterone she is taking is thought to give her no extra advantage over the men. I would assume, though I've not seen any cases one way or the other, that her taking testosterone would prevent her from competing in the women's division.
Yes, of course the drugs are legal. It's just ironic that drugs making her more "male" are legal while drugs enhancing males or females are not. This person gets a lot of attention precisely because not many women are crazy enough to do this. I can't imagine it will ever be very popular.

And actually, I can remember, starting in the 90s (probably before, but that's when I recall hearing about multiple cases) that girls and women did sometimes play men's sports, without claiming to be men. Sometimes they simply wanted to play (American) football, and since there was no girls' team, they tried out for the more boys'. At least a few did make the team. Same with baseball. And I remember a few high schools with boys on their girls' gymnastics teams because there was no boys' gymnastics in their league. I think maybe Title IX made it mandatory that kids K-12 have equal opportunity to play all sports, meaning a child couldn't be barred from a particular sport if there was no team for their gender when there was a team for the other? In any case, I can remember it happening, and I've heard of a few cases like that in adult recreational leagues as well. Not sure about elite or pro. Anyway, haven't heard of any since the trans thing really took off, I don't think.
Anyway, I guess there have always been some people who genuinely loved a particular sport and wanted to play even if they were the only one of their gender in the whole league. And I wonder if many of the trans men currently doing things like this, maybe fit into that category?

I always loved sports in elementary school, I played with the boys, I was taller than everyone else at that age (I'm 6 ft tall now) and boys always wanted me on their teams. But I never once thought I wanted to be a boy I just wanted to be treated equally. But then when I got to junior high, everything changed. We were separated. I hated girls PE. I stopped playing sports. In those days, girls has to take Home Economics and boys took shop. I hated it. But there was nobody telling me I needed to start thinking I was a boy! Around 16 I wanted to do martial arts but my parents wouldn't let me. I was finally able to start at age 30, after my daughter was born and I haven't stopped with the fighting arts since.
Oh, yes, I would agree that there is more going on with this person than just a love of sports. I guess I was just speculating, though, if the number of women wanting to participate in men's or boys' sports has increased at all, or mostly stayed the same. I also wonder if there is some overlap between those who are drawn to more "masculine" sports, and those who are same-sex attracted and who, in this society, would be more likely to see themselves as trans or nonbinary.
I have heard many stories like yours, and I'm glad that there are now many more opportunities for any person to participate in activities that were once considered only for boys, or only for girls. It frustrates me that we seem to be moving backwards in some respects, with young people in particular (and those in the TQA+) being more apt to see certain clothing, colors, hobbies, and so on as belonging to one gender or the other.
Incidentally, I've read some work by, and interviews with, mental health providers who worked with individuals with gender identity problems long before trans became a trend, and a number of them have described frequently (in their practice, although back then gender issues weren't frequent at all) seeing people, as very young boys for example, may have seemed more feminine than average, but didn't necessarily see themselves as female, but who were punished, sometimes to the point of abuse, for playing with dolls, or liking pink clothes, or wanting nail polish. They then began experiencing intense gender dysphoria and gender confusion as they grew. It's possible they would have struggled anyway, but it's also very possible they would have grown up to be men who may have been gay but who were happy being men, had they not been relentlessly taunted and physically abused by their parent(s) into thinking they weren't any good as boys,or that the only way they could possibly do the things they wanted to do was to be female. Again, this was back when people with gender issues were rare, so these cases were even more rare. But, still, it's really just a different side of the same, much more frequent, coin we have today where many adults are pushing or influencing kids in a happy, positive, affirmative way to identify as the opposite sex instead of simply as someone who likes football, or sewing, or whatever.
As an aside, I think it's awesome that you got into martial arts. It's something I've always been drawn to, for several reasons, but never had the courage or confidence to pursue. I really admire those who do.

Manuel is only 19. This type of conditioning is starting with young kids. But once they are an adult, people are free to have any type of plastic surgery, etc. Tax papers shouldn't have to pay for it. Personally, I think mutilating bodies to "change gender" should be illegal. But that won't be happening anytime soon.
The problem is that when somebody "feels like" the opposite sex since his body is wrong, that immediately draws in the medical industry, healthcare companies, insurance, taxes, etc. and that will automatically impact laws, prisons, sports, employment, birth certificate changes, passport changes--there is no end. It will never be able to be stopped. The answer must be no to all of it, for all ages.
Adults cannot do whatever they want. If a 70 pound anorexic adult went to a doctor and demanded liposuction, the answer would be no and she'd get mental health treatment.
Same for an apotemnophiliac. If an adut demanded that a healthy limb be removed from her body because of intense "mental pain" she'd get mental health treatment.
The only thing that will work is when these doctors, hospitals, insurance companies get sued for millions and this becomes a money-loser rather than a money-maker. Yes, this is a good article that I read (I peruse ZeroHedge every day) because I'm working on an essay about women freedom fighters and I'm wondering where all the women are in the news. The billionaires at the top who are moving these agendas forward are all men. The perception is that there are no woman making a difference. I'm concerned about this continual negative perception of women in the media. Yes, women have been influenced to do terrible things, like they are the ones pushing to transition their children. In Islamic countries, it's the female family members who organize FGM for their daughters. In the West, it's young women protesting for 'Palestine" which I put in quotes because they are mostly so ignorant, they probably couldn't have found it on the map before it became the latest cause celebre.
I think a lot of the problem is that women's natural power has been stripped from them. That power lies in giving birth, caring for children and families, even their natural seductive powers have to be turned into something dirty and smutty. I won't go into it more here because I'm writing about it, but everything is being taken away from women right now, down to their own sports teams and, as usual, women are told to accept it "graciously".
As I've pointed out in other essays, if AI is fed just five cycles of synthetic data, it becomes MAD (Model Autophagy Disorder). It needs pure data from real humans to learn. Yet humans are being encouraged to become synthetic creatures, to deny everything we know to be natural and true. I really think as a species we are suffering from a kind of madness. I'm not sure how much the government really wants to take down these companies. It's a lot of noise, perhaps meant for our benefit, but nothing ever happens. The article accuses the government of trying to control Apple, however, as I said, Apple is the most powerful company in the world. Apple controls the minds of those who buy its products--if not now, that is the goal. The government wants to do the same. Right now, there is a battle on the tech field/AI field and they all want to come out on top. They make their deals, alliances, destroy smaller companies or absorb them. Whichever company ends up with the most power will partner with the government. It's a continual power struggle.

But once they are an adult, people are free to have any type of plastic surgery, etc. Tax papers shouldn't have to pay for it. Personally, I think mutilating bodies to "change gender" should be illegal. But that won't be happening anytime soon.
The problem is that when somebody "feels like" the opposite sex since his body is wrong, that immediately draws in the medical industry, healthcare companies, insurance, taxes, etc. and that will automatically impact laws, prisons, sports, employment, birth certificate changes, passport changes--there is no end. It will never be able to be stopped. The answer must be no to all of it, for all ages.
Adults cannot do whatever they want. If a 70 pound anorexic adult went to a doctor and demanded liposuction, the answer would be no and she'd get mental health treatment.
Same for an apotemnophiliac. If an adut demanded that a healthy limb be removed from her body because of intense "mental pain" she'd get mental health treatment.
The only thing that will work is when these doctors, hospitals, insurance companies get sued for millions and this becomes a money-loser rather than a money-maker. This needs to change in the industry. Laws weren't passed against lobotomies necessarily. Doctors realized they simply couldn't do it anymore because it was a scandal.

That's why this is fundamentally a medical industry scandal. If by plastic surgery, you mean nose jobs or face lifts because somebody wants to look better, that's different. That's not mental illness.
But this is people stating that they are the opposite sex and all of society must conform, and doctors go along. It just can't be done. The only thing that will work is a complete rejection of all of it.

Yes, this is a good article that I read (I peruse ZeroHedge every day) because I'm working on an essay about women freedom fighters and I'm wondering where all the women are in the news. The billionaires at the top who are moving these agendas forward are all men. The perception is that there are no woman making a difference. I'm concerned about this continual negative perception of women in the media. Yes, women have been influenced to do terrible things, like they are the ones pushing to transition their children. In Islamic countries, it's the female family members who organize FGM for their daughters. In the West, it's young women protesting for 'Palestine" which I put in quotes because they are mostly so ignorant, they probably couldn't have found it on the map before it became the latest cause celebre.
I think a lot of the problem is that women's natural power has been stripped from them. That power lies in giving birth, caring for children and families, even their natural seductive powers have to be turned into something dirty and smutty. I won't go into it more here because I'm writing about it, but everything is being taken away from women right now, down to their own sports teams and, as usual, women are told to accept it "graciously".

I'm not sure how much the government really wants to take down these companies. It's a lot of noise, perhaps meant for our benefit, but nothing ever happens. The article accuses the government of trying to control Apple, however, as I said, Apple is the most powerful company in the world. Apple controls the minds of those who buy its products--if not now, that is the goal. The government wants to do the same. Right now, there is a battle on the tech field/AI field and they all want to come out on top. They make their deals, alliances, destroy smaller companies or absorb them. Whichever company ends up with the most power will partner with the government. It's a continual power struggle.

There is a female boxer who wants to fight men. She spars with them. I have seen some clips. They hold back. It is really obvious. They make her look fast and agile. Which she probably is. But she is not tough guy tough. She would be annihilated. But she is pushing hard for a big fight.
