Funny you should mention that since I just watched the Oliver Stone movie again. (I'm not saying Oliver Stone doesn't fudge the truth to tell a story) We are never given the truth. Everyone knows it didn't happen the way they say it did. Everyone knows our government lies to us constantly. Yet there is a sense of futility. That's just the way it is. Still, if we accept that we are always lied to, then we know we must use our own minds and comment sense. And that's a good thing.
True. I doubt my voice will ever (be allowed to) grow very large. And anyway, I'm not out to win a popularity contest with my writing and many people, as you say, do not want to hear what I write, even though I always back everything up with facts.
