Excellent article- and agree about Australia- we have turned into a quasi totalitarian state- at best a benign dictatorship. And what is so depressing is that most people still support these dictators and believe that they saved us from death and destruction! There are still many people and, most depressing of all, teenagers wearing masks even outside walking alone or driving in cars with no passengers! It seems the propaganda and tyranny of lies succeeded!
And it seems most people still get their news from mainstream media and/or from social media controlled by Big Tech which of course plays the government tune.
We now live in the ultimate corporatist state, in many ways far more sinister than the Soviet Union- when most knew that they were being lied to and the government was corrupt and immoral.
Western governments and world organizations have been much more subtle and have induced people to believe the government lies to such an extent that people believe that losing their freedom, basic rights and independence is for their own good!
Western government and the so called world leaders have infantilized entire populations.

NOTHING will change fundamentally, until we fundamentally change the way we perceive and treat children. Until then, we will continue to see childhood adversity re-enacted upon EVERY aspect of society.
Furthermore, childhood adversity more often than not consists of imposing utterly INSANE societal standards of "normalcy" on children, to which they MUST conform, in order to survive, at a time when they are too young to understand and reject the madness being imposed on them.

We, the herds of MMS/3i's, will do nothing to stop such developments. We just like to have FUN go into DEBT and travel around! At least the majority that lives in the self-entitled "developed nations". The minority that live in these Plantations live on the streets and with luck have tents!
I would guess that around 99.9% couldn't care less about this and aren't willing to do anything to as some say "fight against the machine"!

Another fantastic breakfast of words that require thoughtful chewing and digestion. You epitomize the role of Elder in this culture that has forgotten what wisdom looks like, having replaced Elder wisdom with "authority" celebrities. Yet slowly, I see people reaching out for true wisdom, looking for and finding sages such as yourself, who know the world intimately because you walked the earth and met the people and shared with them. Your words with each essay ripple out into the world, reminding us that we are on the brink of choosing our species future - one where we stay adolescents for life, giving over our authority to others to tell us how to live, or one that is, as you say, messy, chaotic, beautiful, heartbreaking, awe-inspiring and ultimately, human.
What an extraordinary life you are living and sharing with your readers. Thank God for those who really live and take risks, instead of existing in a bubble of unreality, fear and consumption. With people like you, we will eventually defeat all those psychopaths who want to control us. We know that none of this is about health, but attempts to turn the rest of us unto mindless robots who obey and die on command.
Tolkien’s epic series that begins in The Hobbit was divinely inspired. Of that I have no doubt. Since the whole covid debacle began, I have often had passages leap into my mind as a counter to the evil narrative which surrounds us. It goes to show the power of words.
Our enemies are well aware of that too, and have successfully enslaved many unthinking souls into their evil control matrix with theirs. But the truth is always more powerful than the lie. And I believe with my whole being that a way through all the lies and deceptions and evil is there. When the time is right, we will find discover it was there all along and seize the means of our freedom en masse.
