The Death of Childhood
We believed the Dalai Lama's seductive lie that "anything goes" in the pursuit of happiness; that "The Purpose of Life is to Be Happy", even if it means abusing children.

You can listen to me read this essay here:
“The history of childhood is a nightmare from which we have only just begun to awaken.” —Lloyd de Mause, an American lay psychoanalyst and social historian
De Mause wrote that in 1982. I wonder what he would have to say about childhood now.
The concept that childhood is an innocent time and children should be protected from certain adult information and actions is rather a recent one. For most of history, children were born in pain, and they died easily. Children who made it to the age of seven were then treated like miniature adults. They were sent to work, they slept in the same bed as their parents, nothing was hidden. In many ways, they were used and abused like animals.
Now, I must stop there, because, with what we see going on, we must ask ourselves if this ever really changed? The exploitation of children in every area of our lives, from the marketing industry to the entertainment industry, and now, with this latest video of the Dalai Lama, we see the world’s most revered spiritual leader (besides the pope) asking a young boy in a public setting to “suck my tongue” and sticking out his tongue expecting the child to do it, with the audience laughing indulgently along.
Truly, nothing is sacred. Nor are the most shocking acts hidden anymore. For most of the 20th century at least there was the appearance of innocence. The horrors of what children could be subjected to was kept behind closed doors. With the advent of the internet, what happened in secret suddenly became available to everyone. All information was digestible. Not only that, but rather than fight against it, we are now expected to accept it as normal.
Children took to this new language of the internet in ways their parents could never understand. It is now our children’s natural language. Children are as attached to the internet and to their devices that are an extension of themselves, as their elders were once attached to families and friends in the real world. Children are told not to trust real family and friends. They are encouraged to trust influencers inside their devices. Influencers who tell them how they should behave and what they should believe. Children now have the power at a very young age to access any information they want and to decide who they will choose to listen to and believe.
I have resisted posting videos of Drag queens gyrating on children and parents applauding because I didn’t want to feed into the media’s agenda of conditioning us to accept this behavior. Whether you agree with the behavior or not, we must be careful to recognize that watching it over and over desensitizes us to the reality that it is actually happening.
Now, we have this shocking video of the Dalai Lama exposing the truth about the perversions of the elite. I can’t ignore this. So, here is, if you haven’t already seen it:
The laughter of the audience says almost as much as the act itself. Powerful figures like the Dalai Lama are surrounded by yes-men who do their bidding and ensure that they are shielded from accountability. Protecting the victim is not important. What’s important is that the elites’ image remains intact, even when they act out sexual perversions on children in public.
Once this video went viral, the apology came next. Here is how the world’s most revered living spiritual leader LIES in his apology:
A video clip has been circulating that shows a recent meeting when a young boy asked His Holiness the Dalai Lama if he could give him a hug. His Holiness wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his WORDS (emphasis mine) may have caused.
His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.
WORDS? It wasn’t words! It was his ACTIONS toward a child not a person.
Words no longer have any connection to reality. If you insist on pointing this out, you are the perverse and dangerous one. Reality has been reshaped to fit the purposes of the powerful. They will literally say anything to maintain that power.
Snopes jumped to the Dalai Lama’s defense:
While the Dalai Lama's team acknowledged "hurt" caused by his words and issued an apology for the interaction at the center of the viral video, and a credible news agency, Voice of America (VOA), showed the Tibetan leader interacting with the boy, we have thus far been unable to independently verify from where the viral clip supposedly showing the Dalai Lama asking the boy to "suck my tongue" originated.
“Given that we cannot rely solely on third-party video reposts to confirm the veracity of the footage, and that the Dalai Lama's apology did not specify the exact words he used, we are awaiting further information before we give this claim a truth rating.
Again, notice the focus on words instead of what he actually did.
When Snopes asked for the video, VOA told them: "Unfortunately, the video was posted without following VOA's best practices guidelines and removed.”
So, the video has vanished into thin air. Did it really even happen? The suggestion is that perhaps the video was altered. We can no longer rely on what we see with our own eyes. Everything has become an illusion.
Thank goodness!
We can now move on to the next bizarre revelation. And there are plenty of them. More and more of these revelations involve the abuse of children. The loss of their innocence. But this is nothing new.
We have all heard horrifying statistics like over 1 million children are sold as slaves every year. Or that over 10 million children are trapped in child labor worldwide. They are the children mining the minerals that make it possible for our “privileged” children to live inside virtual worlds where they are then exploited and seduced into participating in perversions. Child slaves in Africa and Asia are the ones that make it possible for us adults to have Alexa and Siri in our homes, spying on our every move, brainwashing us into accepting these perversions that are then played out on our children as normal.
This, in turn, leads to the continuing cycle of the enslavement of all children, everywhere. If children aren’t mining the minerals needed for your phones, they are being lured into slavery by those phones. Covid lockdowns were the perfect grooming ground, where children were taught that the outside world was dangerous; that it was much safer, and a lot more fun, to amuse themselves online.
The Internet Watch Foundation reported its worst year on record for child sexual abuse online in 2021. It confirmed 252,000 URLs containing images or videos of children being sexually abused, compared with 153,000 in the previous year. It has also seen a large increase in self-generated material – where children are manipulated into recording their own abuse before it is shared online – with the fastest growing increase in such material occurring among seven to 10-year-olds. (The Guardian)
As just one example:
Pre-pubescent boys and girls are also being lured into taking part in live sex shows screened on the web, which dozens of perverts pay to watch. In a shocking report, children's charity Barnardo's also warned new mobile phone technology could lead to many more children being abused through the Internet.
The report said: "Over the last 18 months we have become aware that children are being advertised or sold for sex via chatrooms and bulletin boards on the Internet.
"Not only are children being pimped in this way but these Internet sites also inform the enquirer of 'how good a purchase' the child is by rating them from one to ten."
Do not think that all the videos of Drag queens assaulting children at public events is happening by chance. It is purposefully desensitizing us to accept this behavior as normal. After all, we were powerless to help all those children being exploited so we could have cell phones. How would we think we could stop what’s going on inside those phones.
This is horrific, but it is reality. A thirteen-year-old boy performing as a Drag queen with the adult audience applauding.
If you go online, people actually defend this event. I don’t know if they are bots or not. It doesn’t really matter. Reality does not matter. We can indulge our every desire in a virtual world. Where once we had our private thoughts and would never have wanted people to know some of them, now, it’s as if all those private thoughts are being acted out in public and everyone can watch. And it’s okay because they aren’t actually real.
Except that they are real. Real children are being abused, not dolls or actors—although they would like us to believe that. We must continually pull our children back to reality, no matter how much they protest about it.
I don’t know a single parent, conservative or liberal, who would take their children to something like the video above. Yet it is being presented to us as an innocent event that we should expose our children to, in the name of teaching them inclusivity and acceptance of everyone, even someone acting out a demonic impersonation or a sexual act. These are things that any decent person knows are inappropriate for children. Children are being reduced to objects, to be used and abused at the will of the adults above them.
So, who is the Dalai Lama? He is Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, having been reincarnated 13 times (or so they say), since 1391. He is considered to be the successor in a line of tulkus who are believed to be incarnations of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
"The purpose of life is to be happy."
We all recognize this saying. We’ve heard it over and over again. It is the Dalai Lama’s message that he brought to the West. People believed this seductive lie. That "anything goes" and that no one has the right to infringe on anyone else's happiness.
In April 2022, I wrote about this in I Dream of Musk:
Every smooth talker, from the Dalai Lama to your local drug dealer, promises to make you feel good—at least for that moment when you connect with your highest chakra or slam that drug into your vein. Whatever floats your boat, the hucksters have a way of selling it to you, making you believe that this time, the happiness will last. Only it never does, so you keep going back for a bigger fix, chasing that high.
We are being sold lie after lie by online influencers, such as Dylan Mulvaney. It’s all so much fun. So innocent. In his “however many days he has now reached of transitioning”, he starts with little things, like dressing like a girl and moves on to progressively more invasion actions, like surgery.
Everyone knows he is just acting. But it’s mesmerizing to watch the lengths he will go to in order to act out his lies. And that is the point. The illusion replaces reality.
When I think of Mulvaney, I think of Neil Postman’s words in Amusing Ourselves to Death:
“In the Huxleyan prophecy, Big Brother does not watch us, by his choice. We watch him, by ours. There is no need for wardens or gates or Ministries of Truth. When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.”
If you can handle it, here’s 12 minutes of exactly what Postman warned us about. It’s bad enough that this is a man, but what’s beyond evil is that he is pretending to be—not a woman—but a girl. An innocent child being sexualized. This is a targeted attack on childhood—not just for girls but also for boys, because remember, this is a man pretending to be a girl, so it is an assault on both sexes.
If a “boy-toy” of the marketing industry can excitedly carry tampons in his purse or prance around in women’s sports clothing while in both incidents laughingly acknowledging that he knows absolutely nothing about tampons or sports, and he can be rewarded for it by making millions of dollars and being celebrated by our own government, then it makes a mockery of reality.
If you really want to step into the Twilight Zone, watch puppets Mulvaney and Biden at the White House spouting nonsense, and nobody standing up and saying, wait a minute, this is FAKE. It’s absurd! We are living in Lala Land!
Notice in the video how Mulvaney again raises the point that it is “words” that are harmful.
I find this young man to be a tragic figure. He is now a slave of the companies that bought him. He is living inside the nightmare of his own false reality, and he can never escape the lie.
86% of young Americans want to become a social media influencer.
12% of young people said they already considered themselves one. Another 20% of young people said they know an influencer personally.
The business of social media influencing is projected to grow into a $6.5 billion industry by the end of the year. "Social media star" has become the fourth-most popular career aspiration for kids.
And that was written in 2019.
StudentEdge tells kids about 6 transgender influencers they should follow RIGHT NOW! They are all beautiful, cool, trendy, they tell nothing of the drugs, or the mutilation, or the pain that they will be subjected to for the rest of their lives. It’s all about image.
You can learn about the reality of transitioning—and then detransitioning, by reading Elon Anthony’s journey here.
“I started to realise that I could have dealt with my own issues so much better without changing my body because that has brought so many more difficulties. Detransitioning isn’t as unusual as you might expect, but it is underground, for a number of reasons, and the trans community isn’t happy discussing this.”
All that children see online is the rosy image of the influencer. They will not realize that success means slavery to mega-corporations.
“For in the end, he was trying to tell us what afflicted the people in 'Brave New World' was not that they were laughing instead of thinking, but that they did not know what they were laughing about and why they had stopped thinking.” — Neil Postman
This is the triumph of image over reality. The triumph of lies over truth. Don’t dare tell the truth—don’t dare even ask a question about it. If you do, like swimmer Rhiley Gaines (who competed against “trans” swimmer Lia Thomas and was subjected to the 6’4” male exposing himself while he watched the young women undress in the locker room), you will be assaulted and the ones who assaulted you will be celebrated as brave, and you will be called a liar.
It all started with the lie of the Dalai Lama and others like him that “anything goes,” in the search for happiness. This led to children being told that they have the right to express their own truth—and parents wanting to be “progressive” going along with it. Then it led to anyone who objects, anyone who suggests that boundaries within childhood is good for children, and that there are some things should be hidden from children out of a desire to protect them, is dangerous.
Here are parents raising their children as gender neutral, as “them” and “they” so that their children can choose their gender when they want. These parents have been sold a lie by the marketing industry. Not just the good old days kind of lie, like if you wear this brand of make-up, for example, you will attract more boys. No. This is the kind of lie that has the potential to mutilate your child forever. What if their child decides they want to transition to the opposite sex at the age of ten. How about two? At what point is a child able to make adult decisions? Decisions that will enslave them to an evil empire, literally, not an exaggeration. These parents genuinely mean well. That’s what makes it all the more terrifying.
The funny thing is that these parents say with a lot of pride that gender is not something they discuss with their children at all. And why should they? Why make it into an issue. But then they say they are waiting for their children to broach the subject. They are “winging it”, they say. But they already know what they will tell their children. They will tell them that gender is “fluid, that a lot of people who have penises identify as boys, but that is not something that is necessary, if you feel like you are a girl and visa versa…etc., etc.
One person made a very good response:
I have a transgender friend and even he says that this is plain wrong…parents should give you a starting point! Don't let your children grow up believing that they are nothing, that they don't belong anywhere. And before you let them go through a terrible transition via surgery wait first until their natural growth hormones settle so that they are not as influenced by them.
Someone else said:
…never keep common sense reality front them because that will screw them up more in the future. This is mental warfare. You are preparing the child for the world, not the world preparing the child for you.
And this one, straight forward and to the point:
Parents: we are raising our kids so they can decide
Also Parents: we are raising our kids to be confused as f%^k.
Common sense, as I have said in previous essays, is the biggest enemy of the elites, the overlords, those who seek power over our minds and our bodies—whatever you want to call them.
The most successful influencers in the world are the ones creating the most tantalizing lies—now on a global scale—and making everyone believe the same lies. The better the lies, the more we buy into them. The more we buy into them, the more addicted we become. And the more addicted we become, the more powerful the liars grow.
Madly, we in the Western world have been conditioned to continual search for that quick fix and each fix leads to a more outrageous expression of that search that is never satisfied.
Our children’s minds are being emptied of their hopes and dreams, their thoughts, their imaginations, by the elites who are no different from vampires. This is what they are actually doing:
They are feeding the machines with our children’s innocence. In return, our children are becoming the automatons. Once emptied of all the histories of past generations, all the teachings of the wisdom of the elders that are being gobbled up by AI, their minds are being filled with virtual realities, new ways of “being” that are devoid of anything except obeisance to the Vast Machine.
Arthur C. Clarke wrote in Childhood’s End:
“The world’s now placid, featureless, and culturally dead: nothing really new has been created since the Overlords came. The reason’s obvious. There’s nothing left to struggle for, and there are too many distractions and entertainments. Do you realize that every day something like five hundred hours of radio and TV pour out over the various channels? If you went without sleep and did nothing else, you could follow less than a twentieth of the entertainment that’s available at the turn of a switch! No wonder that people are becoming passive sponges—absorbing but never creating. Did you know that the average viewing time per person is now three hours a day? Soon people won’t be living their own lives anymore. It will be a full-time job keeping up with the various family serials on TV!”
And that was published in 2008!
Neil Postman told us even earlier, in 2005:
“We were keeping our eye on 1984. When the year came and the prophecy didn't, thoughtful Americans sang softly in praise of themselves. The roots of liberal democracy had held. Wherever else the terror had happened, we, at least, had not been visited by Orwellian nightmares.
But we had forgotten that alongside Orwell's dark vision, there was another - slightly older, slightly less well known, equally chilling: Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Contrary to common belief even among the educated, Huxley and Orwell did not prophesy the same thing. Orwell warns that we will be overcome by an externally imposed oppression. But in Huxley's vision, no Big Brother is required to deprive people of their autonomy, maturity and history. As he saw it, people will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think.
What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distractions." In 1984, Orwell added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we fear will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we desire will ruin us.”
It is all about desires now. The pursuit of “happiness” was the Dalai Lama’s lie that everyone embraced as a beautiful, simple kind of innocence when it really ushered in the end of innocence for those who should be the most protected among us, our children.
When Dylan Mulvaney asks Joe Biden if he has a message to families of trans kids who are seeking to transition, Biden doesn’t say, “Let them be kids,” he says:
“This is blood of your blood, bone of your bone.” (Yikes)
And then he goes off talking about his son again, and how he went off to Iraq and came back and started a foundation that was for abused children. “And one of the things he did is he raised millions of dollars, this organization, to basically educate parents as to what they should not be afraid of, and to educate the community as to what is, what is just pure hyperbole. And so, I just think it’s a matter, leaders speaking out and saying…just because it’s different, there’s nothing to be fearful about.”
During this mish mash, the camera keeps cutting to Mulvaney and his expression of angelic adoration.
Well, I hate to burst Biden’s bubble, but there is a lot to be fearful of right now. When lies become truth and the Truth becomes too dangerous to express.
Because Postman is just too good, here’s a last quote from The Disappearance of Childhood:
“The world of the known and the not yet known is bridged by wonderment…. As media merge the two worlds, as the tension created by secrets to be unraveled is diminished, the calculus of wonderment changes. Curiosity is replaced by cynicism or, even worse, arrogance. We are left with children who rely not on authoritative adults but on news from nowhere. We are left with children who are given answers to questions they never asked. We are left, in short, without children.”
This is where we are. The Dalai Lama will not be punished for his perversions and those who attacked Rhiley Gaines will be defended while Gaines will be vilified. It’s an upside-down world and it isn’t going to be righted anytime soon.
“In the space of a few days, humanity had lost its future, for the heart of any race is destroyed, and its will to survive is utterly broken, when its children are taken from it.” — Arthur C. Clarke, Childhood’s End
Wow--so well said once again, Karen. I've been reading several of those articles & watching some of those videos in the last few days, & the mamma bear in me was getting very angry! What are they doing to our kids?!?! Thank you for speaking TRUTH in a world full of perversions & lies--unashamedly!!
There's a video of Putin kissing a little boy's stomach in front of an admiring crowd. George W. Bush kissed children in an icky way. That's elite culture.
