Holy crap, you have outdone yourself on this one! I am sobbing as I read this. So much to unpack here. I also love Shantarum, have read it 3X and keep extra copies to give away. Thank you for being a voice of grace in the wilderness of madness. I do believe we are at the cusp of an evolutionary choice for humankind - do we continue to give authority - whether it is the old white man with a beard in the sky, or government, or doctors - permission to make decisions for us, or do we saddle up and say "we are fully responsible for every choice we make and it's subsequent consequences?" I see such a clear dividing line between these two camps. If nothing else, the last 2 years have shown me who I want walking beside me into the future and who will not be traveling that road. Again, thank you for using your skill as a writer to present complicated issues in such simple understandings.

This was an amazing way to start my morning! Thank you for sharing this insight. May God bless you as you continue this life journey through the madness. God has deemed us to be alive in this point in history for a reason!

A brilliant article. Extremely terrifying, but clear on the direction of travel for Western society. I just hope people can see this before it is too late

“What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” is the exact Biblical question that frames, illuminates and ultimately shames these times. The world nothing…less than nothing…compared to the integrity of your soul. I think of this Biblical injunction every day now, and there it was, at the end of your essay. This is the most important phrase of our time. Thank you.

I completely agree. As a Christian, it was extremely comforting to see that you closed the essay with this verse. It’s an answered prayer and a confirmation from God to stay the course and not give in. Thank you so much for your writing. May God bless you and Trish Wood (Trish Wood is Critical Podcast) for the work you both do and for introducing you to her audience.

Oh, Karen, I enjoy your writing so much. Please keep doing what you are doing. I watched that Quack Fauci last night advocating that we start jabbing infant babies. Your writing here just made listening to that lunatic last night much more impactful. Thank you for doing what you are doing and please keep it up. Sincerely, Bubba Humphries

I think you should interview the “vigilante” Rittenhouse. I think he’s on your side.

I'm not saying he isn't. I'm simply presenting different ways that people will look at it. I was personally glad for the verdict and was relieved to see justice done.

And that’s just it. Justice. Self defense. That legal topic has been irresponsibly diluted into sentiments —why was he there with a gun at 17…— stirring anger as if he’s our child and out after 10pm.

Unfortunately, people have now been conditioned to respond emotionally rather than logically. It's all about how other people make us feel instead of about truth. I don't know if you've read any of my other essays but this one talks about this topic. “Menticide is an old crime against the human mind and spirit but systematized anew. It is an organized system of psychological intervention and judicial perversion through which a [ruling class] can imprint [their] own opportunistic thoughts upon the minds of those [they] plan to use and destroy.” https://khmezek.substack.com/p/utopian-madness

I almost stopped reading at “supremacist vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse” showing that you did not watch the trial which is surprising since you usually show your penchant for research. However, I continued and saw that you have enough sense of self as to not be manipulated or bought off. I grew up in Los Angeles in the 50’s and 60’s remembering a much nicer place than what I see now. From where do we take truth? I was blessed to live in other parts of the US to see that not everywhere else is LA. My salvation came with Christianity. Godless people are flesh and bones and the truth they believe leads to death. Alive in Christ, we are free indeed.

I have a feeling others stopped reading at that point, so thank you for continuing. I lost some subscribers I think. I went back and corrected it because I do NOT believe he is a white supremacist. I was just listing a bunch of things that many people think, not my opinions. I hope it's clearer now. People are very sensitive to these things.

Karen, I can't tell you how happy I am to have stumbled across your Substack. I am so bombarded with articles these days I tend to skim through most of them, but yours I take the time to read, word for word.

Thank you for writing this, KHMezek. I really appreciate your ability to connect the dots. Worldwide dots. It's wonderful reading something so full of humanity -yet written from a "higher" perspective- in times like these, when people can't see further than their own (or given) fears.
