Thank you for sharing this update. Your response to the ignorant SJW who accused you of supporting imperialism was perfect. The unfathomable courage of the Iranian protesters is a stark contrast to the sanctimonious bullying of Western keyboard warriors.

I feel incredibly sad for those who are not moved by the plights of these women, not only in Iran, but around the world, where such treatment is prevalent. Those of us fortunate enough not to live in places where these horrors exist, should never take our freedoms for granted. As we learned recently, we are only one election away from tyranny. I don't often believe in miracles, but I pray that these women somehow emerge from this alive and well.

My family doctor's wife is Iranian and she told me that if her people had guns they would eliminate their mullahs themselves.

I've really come to appreciate how important it is that in America we are armed.

What incredibly courageous laydeez!--these are names 'n stories the MSM will never share b/c of "Iran our 'peaceful' friend / ally in the Middle East" (oy)... an' it kinda horrifies me that Iran would reach out as far as Brooklyn! on American soil!...to carry out these planned executions... EGADS. Clearly they DO have tentacles HERE...

I hope 'n pray these brave women will be spared AND will be able to speak out safely in the West an' soon too--'fore they come ta further harm... Not that it's fully safe here either but u betcha each an' every liberty we got now is precious an' once here (may it happen!) they kin continue speakin' out an' hopefully set the fool SJWs in CCP-slave-labor-made-keffiahs straight on their "support" for "peaceful Iran"--an' hopefully fergit their fool notions an' LISTEN ta some hard truths (may it happin'!...)

I am way down the ladder of infamy, but I can kind of get an idea of what it must be like because of the threats even I receive. I no longer say on podcasts where I am. I can never go back to Egypt. I would probably be killed. I suppose with the way things are, I should never travel to any Islamic country. Oct 7th changed everything.

Many've us (most?) have never experienced, as you did, the perfidy an' ruthlessness an' utter / brutal misogyny of the so-called "religion of peace" so yer both uniquely bestowed with the understandin' & first-hand exposure to their world--an' uniquely gifted with the talents to expose THEIR infamy to those've us in the West who are here ta listen--an' learn. Yer right ta be wary, to keep yer location private (if yer travelin' ya kin write where ya WERE after the fact of course..)--an' perhaps (notta my wheelhouse here) git some "tech advice" 'bout online safety (I know there's a way ta disable geo-trackin' but there is MUCH more too!)

THIS GUY: Rob Braxman Tech is one that a lotta folks seem ta like (most've what he sez goes beyond me tho'!)

Hello Karen, am always inspired by your level headed, factually informed posts, not only about the courageous Women who risk life & limb who stand up against a sick & demented regime, but also to educate those who for whatever reasons, side with such a regime. Love your work, Keep on Keeping on. Your voice is much needed!

Thank you for a thorough update on these warrior women, who put us all to shame. As Nancy Friedberg always writes here on Substack: Islam is war on women.

I have often thought, and I believe, that women who are part of the Bride of Christ are going to do much better than many think at the Bema Seat. The bigotry against women in the church is horrid also. My wife went through a lot of it. Nothing as extreme as the women you are talking about today. But it's part of the same evil...

I went through a lot of that as well. As a result, I am not a religious person. I see too much corruption and hypocrisy in organized religion. I am a follower of Jesus, that's it. Very simple. To be like Jesus, with his guidance.

Yup. I have a lot of trouble with the concept of non-participatory spectator religion. I'm partial to the setup at the end of 1 Cor. 14...minus the patrician mess.

Heartbreaking and angering.

The sheep anti Israel women here crying over Gaza “women and children” couldn’t care less about what it’s like in Iran for women and daughters not even know that they are supporting this awful regime in their self righteous privileged ignorance.

This truly breaks my heart. I came across this heartbreaking story earlier today and later watched the documentary "Bread and Roses." Wow. As a woman, and as a fellow human being, I am in awe of the incredible courage displayed by these women. We live in a country (America for me) filled with privilege, often taking so much for granted. While I don't subscribe to the notion of "imperialism," I firmly believe that we are all part of the human family. We are born into different countries and times beyond our control. However, it’s clear that people have manipulated countries and regimes for their own benefit.

It's important for us to shift our perspective away from "them" versus "us." At our core, we are all human beings with the same fundamental desires: to love and be loved, to enjoy the same rights as everyone else, to see ourselves as beautiful in our own way, to receive an education, and to pursue our dreams—as doctors, lawyers, teachers, or mothers. Let's strive for understanding and unity, recognizing that we all share these universal aspirations.

I will continue to pray for these women and their courageous pursuit of freedom, not only for themselves but for their grandmothers, daughters, and children as well.

Thank you. All you say is true. I started My World Project to connect kids in faraway places with each other through art and writing. And also InsideOUT Writers, a creative writing program fro incarcerated youth in Los Angeles. At the writing table young people opened their hearts and those in rival gangs who would be enemies on the street found out they were all the same inside, just as you say. It was a beautiful experience. We desperately need to communicate with one another.

Four sources of light in this world. Reminds me of Malala. Even one candle destroys the darkness.

Also please also speak out on the Ukraine madness and re-post my letter to Putin/Biden (https://hopkinesque.substack.com/publish/posts/detail/151942025?referrer=%2Fpublish%2Fposts). It's getting a bit dicey out there.

Ditto all the positive comments Karen, well done and stay strong and vocal.

To call this unfathomable state of world affairs "clown world" would be grossly unthoughtful considering the excruciatingly awful situation of these ladies (and the countless others - meaning too many to count, but each and every one of them counts).

But, I can't get my head around how people respond to you, as you shared. I can only assume these are awkward teenage boys trying to troll.

And at the broad level, where is the overwhelming public outrage? Where's Bob Geldof yelling "give us your fucking money" as the world's celebs perform to raise money and awareness.

Why are women shaving their heads because they didn't get their chosen president in an open election (aw diddums, there there) and not because of real, proper state sanctioned misogyny?

And, this isn't "a woman's issue." Even as one of the modern day "untouchables" - old white man (and English!!! The worst kind ... ) I believe this is a global humanity issue beyond, probably, all others.

And, yes, the question of imposing western values is an important one. I'm not in favour of war and invasions to try to do so. But, there are (in spite what anti-humanists like Yuval Harari pushes) some basic human values. Bullying is one of the anti-values: the Iranian mullahs' treatment of these women is peak and despicable bullying.
