lovely reflections indeed fer a Sunday 'er any day... so enjoyed the yer illustrations an' the tribute ta yer ma, a stalwart explorer in her own right! Truly singular strikin' photos of incredible vistas few have seen and such wonderful experiences trekkin' the world...

I DO git not travelin' 'til yer kiddos were grown--same here! (mine ain't all grown yet but I never understood how folks kin just up & leave their young'uns fer long stretches...) ha, I wouldn't even use babysitters--only 2x in 23 years! One'a my fav-o-rite parts of travelin' in my 20's wuz that you could disappear...in a crowd, on a narrow little street, at some far-flung set'a ruins... today it'd be hard ta do that which is a mite sad...

That said, I'm sure more wonderful travels are in yer future! This quote here struck me given yer a natural born trail blazer (in many ways!)

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

It is indeed no longer possible to disappear anywhere in the world now, but there are still many places where most people don't go, off the beaten track. I loved Sucre because the travelers I ran into definitely were not your ordinary tourists; a lot of European young people who had taken off for a year of travel, some who had left high-paying jobs because they didn't satisfy them spiritually and they wanted more out of life than the corporate rate race. It was encouraging to see.

I'll bet it was! Lovely ya find these hide-a-ways...

I hate "tourist traps" but relish seein' spaces & places that I'd read about so it's always 'bout balance. But yup, if only we could put on an invisibility cloak like in Harry Potter, right?

ALSO if what Sabrina Wallace & Dr. Ana Mihalcea say is kee-recht they kin track us without phones... by our own energy which is now part of the IEEE! (THIS can be dismantled but few outside'a these whistleblowin' laydees are sayin' the quite part out loud an' nobuddy with a huge platform is lettin' their trooths out...ain't gonna be Ron Johnson...sadly)
