This was strange to me since my account was used solely to follow accounts and like posts; I literally had not ever posted one single tweet. Or comment. Ever. So how could simply reading content by others violate any rules? I promptly appealed three times. Each time, got a generic message saying they'd get back to me in a week but please be patient. Each time I got zero replies, although after only a day or so when I logged in to my account the message that I was suspended had changed to say my appeal was denied. Moments after the final appeal, it changed to say "this decision is permanent". I am banned from creating accounts ever again.
There were rumors at the time that a number of accounts that followed accounts critical of Trump had been unfairly suspended. I don't know if that's true generally, but I fit that profile. So, now that I can't participate even by liking a post, and can't organize my feed by following accounts I want to see, plus the new stupid policy of limiting the number of things you can read in a period of time, I'm done.
