Karen, I wrote this comment on another substack page earlier today and your podcast inspired me to share it with you: I'm a Red Pilled Marine Vietnam Veteran. I wear my Marine Vietnam cap several times a year to honor those killed or maimed in any one of our forever wars. I also wear an anti-war t-shirt with #FREEASSANGE or SUPPORT OUR TROOPS - BRING THEM HOME, etc. Last year on Memorial Day, in addition to the cap, I was wearing my General Smedley D. Butler, WAR IS A RACKET t-shirt. With about a mile left to go on my walk, I half noticed a car turn off the street that I was on, onto a side street, about a half a block in front of me. No big deal, that happens on one street or another every day. But next, there's this great big young guy charging right at me. I'm closing in on my mid-seventies and it's been several decades since I engaged in street fighting. When this young offensive lineman got close to me, he offered me his hand and thanked me for wearing a shirt with his recently deceased father's favorite book, loudly and proudly displayed on my t-shirt. I made his day and he made mine! Unlike our government, I can't rewrite history. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps; 1 of them in Vietnam. When I wear any Marine Corps cap, you can bet I'm wearing an anti-war shirt. I'm an equal opportunity antagonist. But I want them to know that I was there, and I shouldn't have been!
