I taught and am still teaching my daughters to fight. If I have anything of value to pass on, it's that. Good on you for giving them this.

I wish I could have continued. It became too dangerous for me to stay there.

Understandable. The nice thing about putting something into motion though is that momentum often carries it forward even after you're gone.

Yes, that was my hope. It planted a seed.

That first quote speaks volumes about where the mindset places culpability for lewd acts. But, did not Adam bite the apple of his own free will?

I think everyone needs to be responsible for their own actions.

Actually, the Quranic version of the Garden of Eden story blames Adam and Eve equally for the Fall.

Neither of them is mentioned in any individual capacity whatsoever.

Yes but she is part of a culture where girls are encouraged to do that. In Luxor, it's the opposite.

...an' the "river-to-see SJWs" who (half 've 'em) have no clue what they even want, raise their voices, stamp their feet... an' play right inta the hands of the oppressors.

Bein' homeschoolers, I'm not "so much" fer mandatory per se but having self-defense + martial arts offered, encouraged! as a life skill would be wonderful! (I'd've taken that over kickball any day!)

I guess 'mandatory' is a bad word now 😂. I just think it's as important as English or math.

ha ha, yup--but f they had ta pick between boxing, martial arts, fencin' or archery --any one!--all that would be pie in the sky great!

You are 100% correct that all children should have martial arts training especially girls. I have 3 girls who were put with a good instructor from an early age until they left home. It gives confidence as well as discipline. As a father it gave me that when I began training and continued until my mid 50's when my body started to break down. Thank you for your stories that we can all learn from.

Seems like another case of men who have their heads in the desert sand that are insecure, and cowardly looking down at their daughters and wives.

In my view it is particularly mandatory in the West, as we're conquered nations so our women and daughters should know to protect themselves, because many of those flooding into our countries do not share our values and will attack them.

That being said, it was interesting visiting Japan lately to see how many Japanese girls and women travelled in groups, and how many of them avoided going anywhere alone without a boyfriend/husband or their best friends. I wonder if that's the natural order of things; for women to be cautious and avoid dark places. Tbh I avoided those places despite being a man, as I've little inclination towards such places myself, and preferred to stay safe though Japan is very safe.
