Karen, thank you for sharing these beautiful drawings and descriptions with us. Your generosity and love are heartening, and have helped to make this weary old soul feel reborn on this Easter morning. Truly has He risen!
Beautiful post, Karen. I was considering a Masters last year, and one of my research ideas was to further explore writing as form of therapy. Unfortunately, due to an Admin glitch my application was not considered. Good thing, because a year later an my world is not the same (including financially). I'm curious - why do you believe your book would not be published today? Why is it out of print? It looks like a great learning tool to me.
Thank you. Books go out of print regularly. There is always something new to take its place. A mainstream publisher wouldn't publish it for the reasons I stated in my piece, it's no longer about bringing people together, it's about pointing out their differences, making one side feel like they are the victimizer and the other feeling like they are the victim. A Christian publisher might publish it, I just haven't had time to pursue that possibility.
Or, you can Google search to find other options. There are two versions. One with the poem I've quoted here and one with the song 'Jesus Loves the Little Children.' Not sure what hich version it is on Amazon. Many blessings to you!
Welcome back, Deep Karen. I gave you up for Lent, along with all of my 'stacks, because I was obsessing on them. I had dozens of subscriptions, but found that I was really just confirming my opinions instead of informing my thinking, and they had become a huge time suck. Surprisingly, there were only a few that I really missed; yours chief among them. This is my first post-Lenten read, and it was worthwhile, so thank you. I'll think I'll keep you around ;-)
Oh, Karen! Thank you so much for sharing these thoughts and these graceful drawings of yours. As my country is getting a little (blessed) bit late with the whole cancel culture/thin skinned people thing, it took a while to me figuring out how your illustrations could do harm to anybody. So glad I can still spot the oddity. Happy Easter Monday!

Karen, your illustrations are just beautiful. How can I get a copy of this book for my grandchildren?

It really does show the sad state of the world, doesn't it.
Beautiful! Happy Easter!
