Well written. I need to rewatch The Prisoner now. I implore everyone to read “Age of Surveillance Capitalism”. It’s very long and so well written. It’s scary how they ultimately want to control & make money from you. I think it’s worth reading once a year, lest you forget how you are being used.
When Adam and Eve went ahead against orders from God not to eat ANY of the fruit from the TREE of KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil, they should have followed instructions. Once they started feasting on this kind of KNOWLEDGE they could not stop and it was incompatible with the perfect life they were living in the Garden. So they had to be removed from the Garden....they had turned away from God and towards themselves
In their state of being separated from God and under the influence of the Secular Knowledge of Good and Evil, their minds were clouded with their pursuit of what seemed to them good and they forsook whatever they labeled evil. This soon became further complicated and confusing because they called evil good and good seemed evil.
God in his omniscience knew they could not handle it and all of what would happen to Adam and Eve if they went ahead and sampled the addictive fruit. So he forbade it and told them of the consequences.
They disobeyed Him.
Right now the many descendants of Adam and Eve are continuing to devour that knowledge.....the world is literally choking on it. Still regurgitating poisoned fruit. Unable to stop, lost Unregenerate people want to become their own gods, just like what the Lying Serpent promised Adam and Eve they could become if they just disregarded God and sampled that poisonous fruit.....
God the Creator and Sustainer is omniscient. That is what Humankind wants to be:Having all knowledge. But we are not God. We are created beings. Finite. Even our Artificial Intelligence is puny and limited. In our overweening pride We refuse to acknowledge that, and we suffer catastrophic consequences from this over and over.......

Too late. They already track us. We're already numbers. And, yet, their control is only partial, never absolute, never will be, unless we volunteer it. Government control is like hacker attacks. Every attack is met with new countermeasures. No perfect attacks, no perfect defense. Constant vigilance.

Thanks as always for your writing but a small correction. The Babylonian Empire was not in 38,000 BC, during the Upper Paleolithic, when there were, in fact, no empires at all. The earliest empire centered in Babylon took shape after the fall of Sumerian power, around 1,900 BC. I couldn't agree more with your larger point though.

Karen, I don't know whether to despair or not. I watch the trouble one of the smartest men in the world is having providing a simple blue check on a miniscule social media platform, and I think these trans-humanists don't stand a chance. Then, I think, I can just touch a sensor on my phone with my index finger and I can log into all my financial accounts. This is maddening.
Our only hope, I think, is to throw every monkey wrench we can into the whole works and hope it breaks. Resist. Then, resist even more.
But, I read my Scripture, and I know, it does not get better.
