Another materialist, humanist, mechanistic pipe dream; another Tower of Babel.

What's infuriating is their arrogance. They are children, so sure they are right.

It's time for a change. We, as a society, have worshipped at the altar of "intellect" for far too long.

Dear Karen, Your essays get more terrifying each time I read them, as does our world. My only hope is in Jesus, and his return to earth to claim us as His own.

Yes, this is the only answer. I try to alleviate the terror with my inspiring essays. Just wrote another one which might help!

There are a lot of bad people in the world, and a lot of weak people who allow them to be bad. The first stage is becoming strong enough to resist becoming victims. The next stage is stopping the bad people. It always surprises me how many people don't want to do either.

What surprises me even more is how so many don't want to know anything that makes them uncomfortable. Ignorance is bliss?

Many people are insecure in good times, which becomes even worse in difficult times we've seen for a couple of years. That pathological insecurity drives them to seek protection and comfort in the crowd. Approval from the crowd is their highest priority, and anyone who distracts them from that is not just wrong, but an enemy.

It's why lemmings follow the herd over the cliff. Many people are no smarter than lemmings. Cowboys drive a stampeding herd by giving them a greater fear, forcing them to stop. It will require similar force to stop this stampede.

We don’t comply. And we return to looking inward and understanding ourselves. That’s how we win.

However, even if Yuval and the rest of the technocrats hack us, eventually they lose anyway. We might sustain many casualties, but nonetheless they’ll lose. Because it goes against nature. Against natural evolution. Hopefully some of us will still be around to bear witness.

Yep, they lose. No matter what.

I've had skepticism and cynicism for the government, medical professionals and scientists for some time. This article did nothing to lessen my distrust. I knew of some of these cases, like MKultra; others were new and equally disgusting. Try telling the ostriches; the hear no evil, see no evil crowd.

If all of our brains are essentially the same, why do we think so differently? Where is the soul? Where is the "thing" that makes us all unique? All these god players are messing with Mother Nature, and the unintended consequences and their ill intent will not play well in the future.

So long as it's other people's (rather their own) skin in their game: there is not much to impede the cruel games of the so-called elites.

Money makes the world go round. As they say. But then. . . man proposes and God disposes. As they also say.

This is a hideously difficult subject to get to grips with, because any examination or research involving the human brain is necessarily not an impartial analysis - the observer cannot be separated from the observed. A bit like quantum mechanics really where reality at the most fundamental level is not independent of the act of trying to observe that reality.

The temptation is to think of 'them' (the experimenters and 'us' (the passive, unconsenting subjects of the experiments). Good and evil. But it's not really like that. The murderous psychopaths in academia are presumably the end product of the same neurological/biological processes which animate each and every one of us complex humans. Hence, they themselves are 'in' the experiment; as much as they would like to think of themselves as on the outside, dispassionately looking in. There is no separation; there never can be, unless the psychopaths running society and seeking to control us are not human. But even then, all Creation is One and a living lab rat subject to cruel experimentation by 'superior' human lab technicians is still part of the same evolutionary web that unites all living beings, on this planet for sure, but maybe throughout the Cosmos. I just don't think these arrogant nutters know what they're dealing with here and it will probably be their undoing.

I think the time of flourishing human intelligence ended at the end of the last century and now it's in the rotting perversion stage. Obsession with discovering new biological ways to kill to add to the arsenal of war weapons. Obsession with brains and neurons and thought control all under the guise of fixing people. How many people will they have to torture and kill on the road to controlling someone else's thoughts. Science is dead and medical research is now the disease.

"If we understood how the brain works, we would actually understand for the first time who we are from the inside scientifically."

That also is an assumption with little supporting evidence. On this one, the neuroscientists need to listen closely to the philosophers. Check out these two:
