They can try to erase our histories and lie to our children, but truth will prevail. They will never succeed in destroying what it means to be a mother.
I had a busy day yesterday and am now just having time to read this wonderful, but poignant, article. It reminds me to be grateful for my many blessings, but to reflect on what a shallow, meaningless existence that is such a part of current culture. I don't understand how so many quietly accept it. Thank God for your writings that show both sides of the coin.

Your illustrations are exquisite! I wonder if you would ever do a series of children's books that told the stories you are trying to keep alive, and illustrate them? Sometimes pictures and child-like language gets into people's unconscious in ways grown up words never can. Like "fairy-tales for adults" or something similar. You are such a Renaissance Woman! All that talent, a message to share, so many ways to share it......Luminaria was equally impressive for some of these reasons, by making it science fiction, readers were already opening their minds to a different kind of story. I think you have some magic here that is sorely needed right now. Keep on keeping on, and Happiest of Mother's Day to you!
